Iranian media said on Sunday evening that the helicopter of President Ebrahim Raisi and his accompanying delegation had a “hard landing” accident in East Azerbaijan Province, northwestern Iran.
The helicopter that was involved in the accident was carrying President Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian, East Azerbaijan Governor Malek Rahmati, Imam of Jumma Tabriz, Ayatollah Al Hashemi, and some other officials.

Some of the Iranian President's companions in the helicopter were able to contact the center, and thus hopes are increasing that the accident will end without loss of life.

The helicopter that crashed was one of 3 helicopters carrying the Iranian president and his accompanying delegation.

Two helicopters carrying some ministers, including the ministers of energy and transportation, and other officials, arrived safely at their destination.
