The last appearance of the Iranian President and Foreign Minister Amir Abdollahian
Iranian media said that the Iranian President and the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, inaugurated the Qiz Qalasi Dam, which is shared between Iran and Azerbaijan. The dam is located in northwest Iran.
Tasnim Agency reported that Ibrahim Raisi and Ilham Aliyev visited on Sunday the construction site of the joint Yaz Qalasy dam on the border, which is located on the Ars River, and inspected the various parts of this dam.
Mehr Agency also published a video clip that it said documented the flight of the President of the Republic, Ibrahim Raisi, an hour before his helicopter was involved in the accident in the skies of East Azerbaijan Province.
Iranian media said on Sunday evening that the helicopter of President Ebrahim Raisi and his accompanying delegation had a “hard landing” accident in East Azerbaijan Province, northwestern Iran .
The Iranian "Tasnim" agency reported that some of the Iranian president's companions in this helicopter were able to contact the center, and thus hopes are increasing that this incident will end without loss of life.
This convoy included 3 helicopters, and two helicopters carrying some ministers, including the ministers of energy and transportation, and other officials, arrived safely at their destination.
According to Iranian media, Tabriz Friday Imam Ayatollah Hashem, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian, East Azerbaijan Governor Malek Rahmati, and a number of other officials were on board the helicopter carrying the Iranian president.
Iranian Interior Minister Ahmed Vahidi said that after the opening of the Qiz Qalasi Dam, Raisi and his accompanying delegation were on their way back in several helicopters, one of which was forced to make a difficult emergency landing due to bad weather conditions and the situation in the region.
