The UN relief chief has reported that the war in Gaza has brought famine
The UN's humanitarian chief has indeed warned about the dire situation in Gaza.
According to Martin Griffiths, the UN emergency relief chief, famine is "around the corner" as people in Gaza face the "highest levels of food insecurity ever recorded".
He stated that the "great majority" of 400,000 Gazans deemed at risk by the UN are already starving.
The relentless bombing of Gaza has led to widespread devastation, with more than 24,000 people killed according to the Hamas-run Ministry of Health.
The region has become "uninhabitable" for its 2.2 million residents due to the bombing of residences, blockade on basic supplies like food and water, and near-total destruction of Gaza’s health system.
This is indeed a very concerning situation.
