Al Jazeera's Wael Al-Dahdouh Transferred from Gaza to Egypt, En Route to Qatar for Medical Treatment

Wael Al-Dahdouh, a prominent Palestinian journalist from Al Jazeera, was transferred to Egypt for medical treatment.

This was made possible by the Egyptian authorities in response to a request from the Egyptian Journalists Syndicate.

Upon his arrival on the Egyptian side of the Rafah crossing, the syndicate confirmed its communication with Dahdouh.

Dahdouh expressed his gratitude to Egypt, Egyptian journalists, and the syndicate for their support, emphasizing their backing for the Palestinian cause.

He also thanked his colleagues at Al Jazeera for their support and announced plans to seek treatment abroad.

Dahdouh has suffered immense personal loss due to the ongoing Israeli Occupation aggression on Gaza.

On October 25, his wife, son, and daughter were martyred when an Israeli Occupation airstrike targeted the family's shelter in Nuseirat camp in the middle of the strip.

On January 7, the Israeli Occupation assassinated Hamza Wael Al-Dahdouh and Mustafa Thuraya in an airstrike on their car in Rafah, the southernmost part of the Gaza Strip.

The Egyptian Journalists Syndicate expressed gratitude to the Egyptian state and relevant authorities for facilitating Dahdouh's entry into Egypt for medical treatment.

Dahdouh arrived in Egypt from the Gaza Strip on Tuesday en route to Qatar for medical attention.
