Egypt's World Cup qualifying match against Angola was interrupted three times by fans who stormed the pitch to take selfies with Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah.

Salah played a decisive role in the Pharaohs' comeback from a 2-0 deficit, providing a skilful assist and putting in the important work to make the comeback.
However, his performance was overshadowed by the Salah-mania that erupted on the pitch.
Fans of the Liverpool star couldn't resist hopping onto the pitch for a selfie, causing the match to be stopped three times.


The first interruption occurred when Salah was mobbed by fans while Egypt was launching an attack for the winner. The forward obliged with a hug before police arrived to march the fan out of the stadium.
The second and third interruptions occurred when fans invaded the pitch to take selfies with Salah.

Salah's popularity has been on the rise thanks to his top form this season. He is the leading Premier League scorer after hitting double figures 11 games into the season, with 15 goals in 15 games in all competitions.
He has 45.6 million followers on Instagram, having broken into the top-10 most popular footballers on the platform this year.

The match ended in a 2-2 draw, securing Egypt's place in the World Cup qualifying play-offs.
Salah will be determined to secure a spot at his second World Cup, after the forward's Russia 2018 experience was blighted by the injury he suffered in the 2017-18 Champions League final.
